Spray irrigation is widely used to dispose of the waste water from citrus processing plants. The citrus processing season in Florida may range from 6 to 10 months a year depending on the size and the type of the fruit crop. Much of this season occurs in that part of the year when rainfall is deficient. It would be advantageous if this waste water could be utilized in the production of citrus crops. A study was conducted between 1971 and 1974 to investigate the feasibility of growing-citrus with citrus processing waste water (6).
