This paper presents three solar thermal projects proposed to be made in the near future by the CFE (Federal Electricity Commission), the most important electricity company in Mexico; these project will be with parabolic trough concentrators. The first one is Cerro Prieto project who is a hybrid system to feed steam to the geothermal cycle and an experimental facility to study Direct Steam Generation (DSG); the second is Puerto Libertad, and the project considers a solar steam generator to supply steam in a Rankine cycle and the last one is Agua Prieta project who is a ISCC (Integrated Solar Combined Cycle) proposed by CFE with a financial support from the World Bank in order to get the solar field. To carry out all projects is necessary a public tender invitation that is process or will be made in the future.
