Research on A New Grid Side Power Factor at Unity Compensation Strategy Implemented in Direct Space Vector Modulated Strategy in Matrix Converter

An input filter is very important to MC, which is used to improve grid side current waveform quality and to filter high harmonic components, as well as to reduce input voltage distortion supplied to the grid side. Because of the effect of the input filter and output power, grid side power factor (PF) is not at unity when input power factor angle is set 0. In this paper the displacement angle between grid side phase current and phase voltage is analyzed. Based on this a new grid side PF at unity compensated strategy is presented. Simulation results indicate that the proposed PF at unity compensation method has good performances and is feasible.
